چکیده
Since its founding, NASA has been dedicated to the advancement of aeronautics and space science. The NASA Scientific and Technical Information (STI) Program Office plays a key part in helping NASA maintain this important role. The NASA STI Program Office is operated by Langley Research Center, the lead center for NASAÕs scientific and technical information. The NASA STI Program Office provides access to the NASA STI Database, the largest collection of aeronautical and space science STI in the world. The Program Office is also NASAÕs institutional mechanism for disseminating the results of its research and development activities. These results are published by NASA in the NASA STI Report Series, which includes the following report types: · TECHNICAL PUBLICATION. Reports of completed research or a major significant phase of research that present the results of NASA programs and include extensive data or theoretical analysis. Includes compilations of significant scientific and technical data and information deemed to be of continuing reference value. NASA counterpart of peer-reviewed formal professional papers, but having less stringent limitations on manuscript length and extent of graphic presentations. · TECHNICAL MEMORANDUM. Scientific and technical findings that are preliminary or of specialized interest, e.g., quick release reports, working papers, and bibliographies that contain minimal annotation. Does not contain extensive analysis. · CONTRACTOR REPORT. Scientific and technical findings by NASA-sponsored contractors and grantees. · CONFERENCE PUBLICATION. Collected papers from scientific and technical conferences, symposia, seminars, or other meetings sponsored or co-sponsored by NASA. · TECHNICAL TRANSLATION. English-language translations of foreign scientific and technical material pertinent to NASAÕs mission. Specialized services that complement the STI Program OfficeÕs diverse offerings include creating custom thesauri, building customized databases, organizing and publishing research results ... even providing videos. Abstract The Models for Aeroelastic Validation Research Involving Computation semi-span wind-tunnel model (MAVRIC-I), a business jet wing-fuselage flutter model, was tested in NASA Langley's Transonic Dynamics Tunnel with the goal of obtaining experimental data suitable for Computational Aeroelasticity code validation at transonic separation onset conditions. This research model is notable for its inexpensive construction and instrumentation installation procedures. Unsteady pressures and wing responses were obtained for three wingtip configurations: clean, tipstore, and winglet. Traditional flutter boundaries were measured over the range of M = 0.6 to 0.9 and maps of Limit Cycle Oscillation (LCO) behavior were made in the range of M = 0.85 to 0.95. Effects of dynamic pressure and angle-of-attack were measured. Testing in …

Mathematical Model Improvement for the Nonlinear Characteristics of Transonic Flutter
In order to make better agreement with transonic wind tunnel experimental data, which was obtained in the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in 1990’s, we proposed new mathematical model to improve the previous model. The bifurcation diagram was analyzed by a continuation method. The continuation method can continuously follow the solutions of dynamical system, such as a limit cycle osci...
متن کاملControl-Oriented Flutter/Limit-Cycle-Oscillation Prediction Framework
In this work, an aeroelastic prediction framework is formulated by blending control-oriented techniques that consist of linear fractional transformation representation, identification of nonlinear operators, and stability boundary prediction for both flutter and limit-cycle-oscillation phenomena. The final product is an efficient tool devised to identify, characterize, and predict flutter/limit...
متن کاملNumerical Study of a Cascade Unsteady Separation Flow
A CFD solver is developed to solve a 3D, unsteady, compressible Navier-Stokes equations with the Baldwin-Lomax turbulence model to study the unsteady separation flow in a high incidence cascade. The second order accuracy is obtained with the dual time stepping technique. The code is first validated for its unsteady simulation capability by calculating a 2D transonic inlet diffuser flow. Then a ...
